Report Viewer Role

Updated by Kashif Hussain

What is the Report-Viewer Role?

The Report-Viewer role is a dedicated user role in Sofy designed to streamline access control and enhance security. It allows designated users to access only the Reports section of Sofy, while restricting their visibility and permissions in all other areas of the platform.

This role is ideal for:
  • External auditors or third-party stakeholders who need visibility into test execution data.
  • Team members focused solely on reviewing results, without interacting with test cases, devices, or configurations.
  • Organizations with strict data segregation and access policies.

Key Benefits

Enhanced security: Ensures reporting-only users cannot view or modify tests, devices, app builds, or account settings.

Simplified access control: Clearly separates reporting privileges from other user roles.

Ease of compliance: Helps meet internal security standards and third-party auditing requirements.
