Sofy offers any new users a free trial subscription to test out and determine if Sofy is the right platform for their needs before purchasing. This article discusses the most popular questions users have related to their free trial subscriptions.

General Trial Subscription FAQ

How do I sign up for a free trial?

Fill out the form on this page and get in touch with our Sofy rep to unlock your free trial.

How do I upgrade my trial subscription to a paid plan? 

Reach out to sofysales@sofy.ai to upgrade your plan.

What do I get with my trial plan?

With your trial plan, you can test your app on two devices (Android only) for a maximum of 60 device minutes.

I can only access two devices during my trial, does this change when I subscribe as a customer?  

Yes, you can access multiple devices when you subscribe as a customer. The number of devices you can access will depend on your subscription plan. 

Why don’t I see iOS devices during my trial subscription? 

iOS devices become visible after you upload an iOS App. Please note that Sofy's iOS app testing option is not available during trial subscriptions.

Device Minutes FAQ

What are device minutes? 

The amount of time a user spends on any acquired device, calculated in minutes. 

How are device minutes calculated? 

Sofy combines the total time (in minutes) spent on acquired devices during each billing cycle. 

What are the different types of device sessions? 

You can use device minutes in the following session types:

  • Device Lab session
  • Scheduled test run 
What happens if I exceed the allocated device minutes? 

If you exhaust all allocated device minutes, then you will not be able to access any mobile devices and will get an error message stating “Device Hours Limit Exceeded.”

How do I add more device minutes? 

Reach out to customersupport@sofy.ai if you’ve exceeded your allocated device minutes and would like to add additional minutes to your account.
